Our class is conducting an investigation of Western Expansion. Students are going to be working on individual research projects exploring a specific topic within this area of study. Students must include a minimum of fifteen facts about their topic. Students will be giving class presentations to teach classmates about the topic. This project will require a lot of research about History. This research includes: “What were the geographic features of western lands?” “What was life like on the overland trails?” “How did United States expand in 1800s?” and “What were the major explorations of western expansion?” You could help your child by providing him or her with the necessary tools needed to complete this project. Such items may include providing a quiet environment, helping him or her do research, and looking over their work to see if it needs any corrections. Your child needs your support while working on this project, so please encourage him or her to do their best. If you have any questions, you may contact Mrs. Alvara or Mrs. Bittancourt by phone or e-mail at rosyalvara@yahoo.com& bcourt09@gmail.com. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Alvara & Mrs. Bittancourt
